Relevant information provided from application briefing
• Title: “Monkey Tree” (fictitious title)
• Target platform: smartphones and tablets
• Target audience: 7-99 years, male & female
• Direction: stylized, warm, inviting

Known issues
Anatomy on legs are wrong. I made a quick transform-tool modification to try and make it feel like the character goes into the background (more interesting perspective).

My opinion
I like this image for its sense of motion, as well as the contrast between character and background.

Known issues
Monkey has four toes, but five fingers.

My opinion
I like the background more in this one, and incorporated the idea of the application-logo (seen in image below) into the actual concept.

Known issues
Logotype (middle) is a bit rough and has jagged edges. I’ve not recreated it as a vector shape as it’s only a concept.

My opinion
I like the application logo (left), as it to me conveys the logotype (middle and right) quite well and looks suitably happy/cartoon-like. The logotype (middle) lacks iterations, but seeing as I don’t have much to go on from the work-sample briefing I got, it’s hard to get innovative seeing as there’s no game mechanics mentioned. However, I still kind of like it and I’ve kept it as-is for now.
